Sydney-born striker Thomas Petrovski, just 18 years old, is beginning to shake the ground beneath Australian and European football.
Developing through the respected Rockdale Ilinden youth system, Petrovski later elevated his game abroad, spending developmental years within the Leicester City academy pathway in England, where he sharpened his technical ability, physicality and tactical intelligence under high-performance coaching structures.
A Modern Forward With European Profile
Between 14 and 17, Petrovski matured dramatically. Standing 183cm and still growing, he fits the mould of a modern striker, strong, explosive, mobile, and goal-focused. His style has already drawn recognition from Italian coaches impressed by his presence and football IQ.
In 2023/24, Petrovski joined S.S. Turris Calcio Primavera in Italy, training and competing within the Serie C youth system before returning to Australia. Not long after, he reunited with Rockdale Ilinden and played a decisive role in winning the NPL NSW U20 Grand Final, defeating the Central Coast Mariners 3–2. A short First Grade stint with Shellharbour FC followed, giving him senior-level hardness and competitive edge.
A New Chapter in Italy – Monastir 1983
Petrovski has now signed with ASD Monastir 1983, a Serie D club closely linked with Cagliari Calcio (Serie A), a pathway club known for recognising raw talent and shaping future professionals.
“I want to score goals, and more goals,” Petrovski says.
“Every goal gets me closer to being seen. I’m ready to work, learn and take the next step in Italy.”
